Heartbreak

So I woke up again in the middle of the night And checked my phone to see if it was a dream Half the pictures gone and I was really left alone So you weren’t watching TV on my couch This darkness suddenly had me escape out from my bed Why have I ended up myself alone Had to sit on the floor and think where it went wrong Late at night still got me thinking why I wonder why we walked away I wonder why we have ended up ourselves being back to strangers What’s done can never be undone. Keeps breaking my heart It’s too harsh I can’t take it no more Just headed out the door for a late night walk alone Kept walking till the end of the road Used to be a rounded trail that we used to walk together Got lost this time like it was something new Every step I took all the memories followed me I got stuck on the ground they wouldn’t let me go Was it really something that we had to face Was it really just a matter of time I wonder why we walked away I wonder why we have ended up ourselves being back to strangers What’s done can never be undone.
