Better Now

Clock hand slipping southward as street lamps flicker opening wide their sleepy eyes to welcome the night Here's when i start hoping tonight's one night I find in my sleep your company unemptying my dreams Sing me a lullaby I swear I can hear it with the ocean tide that carried it to me Cuz I find it's getting better now And though it's hard Baby you will find as well I'm right And now is not the time to complain cuz love and grace are changing us tonight Cuz time won't lie I'm daydreaming over a hundred futures They seem to be fuel for the soul a nourishing need Cuz I'm alive alive I'm taking these changes Your energy revives me it dances inspiring Cuz I find it's getting better now And though it's hard Baby you will find as well I'm right And now is not the time to complain cuz love and grace are changing us tonight Cuz time won't lie And it goes like honey slow in the pour but sweet when it's flowing So we go on waiting for night Cuz I find it's getting better now And though it's hard Baby you will find as well I'm right And now is not the time to complain cuz love and grace are changing us tonight Cuz time won't lie Cuz time won't lie
