Way Back

Clichés, a cliche, wear-wearing all black Tell me, where have you been? I need a recap [Verse 1: Skizzy Mars] It is what it is, we were just kids You said go handle your business I hit the road, you stayed at home Thought we could handle the distance It slipped away, I said some things to you I'm asking forgiveness I'm tryna practice persistence 'Cause, to be honest, I miss this You used to say how making decisions is still a decision I met a girl, but she ain't see the vision I tried to call you, but you wouldn't pick up It's 2 AM, I hit you up I wanna talk, you not tryna listen I wanna hear just how you been livin' I get to drinkin' and start reminiscing, girl [Chorus: Prelow] Oh whoa whoa, still wearing all black Tell me, where have you been? I need a recap Oh whoa whoa, let's take it all back I changed, you changed, but we go way back [Verse 2: Skizzy Mars] You look so pretty on your Instagram I wanna let you know, did I miss the chance? Where along did we switch the plan? Where did we go wrong? I don't understand You look great on your Facebook post I wish back then that we made the most Drinks up like I made a toast I try to hit your line, but you're Shwayze, ghost And you used to say "Don't count the days, make the days count" I'm comin' home, you should look out I wanna hear how you're doing now So tell me what's wrong, I sense some doubt I still fuck with you the same amount I feel the same to keep it a thou' We go way back, not changing now [Chorus: Prelow] Oh whoa whoa, still wearing all black Tell me, where have you been? I need a recap Oh whoa whoa, let's take it all back I changed, you changed, but we go way back [Outro: Prelow] Guess it kinda makes sense, those feelings came and they went Time will tell what they meant, but we go way back Now you calling my phone, guess you still feel alone I'm not tryna be cold, but that was way back
