I Used to See (colors)

I used to see the world in colors I used to hold my hands up high But now I bruise so tenderly in black and white Fading slowly, I can barely see myself They tell me their versions of my future They tell me that home is somewhere here I quickly move from tragedy to tragedy Until I see the world from eyes that save I'm laying down all of the things the world just wants me to be To be I'm letting go of all the things that have let go of me Of me And now I lay down all the memories that set me free And now I'm letting all my hopes and dreams come true before me So many things the world is throwing at my feet From way up here the air is quite thin But all I wanted was to live in the light To be sober to all this heaviness inside I'm laying down all of the things the world just wants me to be To be I'm letting go of all the things that have let go of me Of me And now I lay down all the memories that set me free Ohhhh And now I'm letting all my hopes and dreams come true before me I'm laying down all of the things the world just wants me to be I'm letting go of all the things that have let go of me And now I lay down all the memories that set me free And now I'm letting all my hopes and dreams come true before me
