Amy Ave

Just driving through I missed you too I feel a strange mood Don’t know if it’s me or it’s you The buildings are different Painted like new And there are kids where I used to hang out They’re all different too Amy Avenue is looking like a dream You’re in my mind but you have changed The past seems not so far away My old front yard just doesn’t look the same The little tree it got so tall It’s the only thing that hasn’t moved at all There are so many reasons why I miss my neighborhood I didn’t want to grow up, back then, life was good Oh I missed you…Amy Ave To bike or to skateboard For summer ice cream cones And when winter rains hit the streets Oh I wished it snowed Why time loves to hide As good times roll by And before it you know We’re all getting old Amy Avenue is looking like a dream You’re in my mind but you have changed The past seems not so far away My old front yard just doesn’t look the same The little tree it got so tall It’s the only thing that hasn’t moved at all There are so many reasons why I miss my neighborhood I didn’t want to grow up, back then, life was good Oh I missed you…Amy Ave
