Warum So Tief

Warum so tief? Und warum so schrecklich verloren? Warum vor ihr? Warum nur wieder vor ihr? [English translation:] [Why So Deep?] Dumb once more - wholly helpless - and ashamed So I come before her today... And so I come once more before you Mother fear and Father pain No adopted child - your blood flows through my veins Your blood is my blood too Just one time with no fear of pain - I believed I could escape Run away from you and me But the more she give me to her All the more I saw you in me Why so deep - and why of all times now? Why before her - why this irony? Why so hard - and why not easily overcome? Must I really pay for every encounter For ever and ever with all my love? Once time without the feeling of being lost for ever just once with her - no madness in chains But even once I cannot deny my love for you Mother fear and father pain Why can't I just deny your blood and make my attack on life? Tell me mother fear Tell me father pain And why not conquered once and all? Why so horribly lost? Why before her all over again?
