We'll get back together (before our Christmas comes)

I’ve been blue since our adieu It’s been so long and arduous Waiting for the end of the year to bring us back together But look outside it’s snowy I heard your side is stormy Oh God We just want to celebrate your son’s happy birthday On the 22nd I reckon I’ll go to a shop and get A gift for you Wrap it all up in a glittery paper Tie it up with a red ribbon And on the 23rd I’m gonna write a Christmas card to you And it will play On Christmas eve we’ll snuggle up tight and open a bottle of wine And on the big day We’ll gather ‘round the tree And sing sing into the night But if we can’t make it on time I’ll put our Christmas off to boxing day Or the following day Or maybe even New year’s eve So don’t worry my baby we’ll get back together We’ll get back together We’ll get back together before our Christmas comes
