Our Generation

Verse 1 We're quiet when you meet us We riot on the streets We're liars and we're cheaters 'cause a grand don't come for free Pre-Chorus But that's just our generation And I'd never change 'em I think we got some issues Chorus My generation's fucked We don't know how to love They say we drink too much But we're fine, fine, fine, fine My generation's fucked We don't know how to love but we're fine That's just our generation And I'd never change 'em Verse 2 We let ourselves down after we've had a few We're all residents on Heartbreak Avenue Some of us are rich, some are poor But money don't mean nothing when you're on the dancing floor But we ain't decision makers, cleaning the marks off our dirty trainers Weekend spenders, midweek savers The simple life is too complicated Waking up after crazy nights Free drinks but we're gonna pay the price Ask your friends if you can stay the night Having fun but it ain't alright Pre-Chorus But that's just our generation And I'd never change 'em I think we got some issues Chorus My generation's fucked We don't know how to love They say we drink too much But we're fine, fine, fine, fine My generation's fucked We don't know how to love but we're fine That's just our generation And I'd never change 'em Bridge Have I let you down Tell me the truth We'll be taking shots like we're bulletproof And we're all fools, none of us have ever made it Oh, went to school, that don't mean we're educated, no None of us are problem solvers Didn't take advice that the elders told us All walk around with a chip on our shoulders Memories stored on an iPhone folder Waking up after crazy nights Free drinks but we're gonna pay the price Ask your friends if you can stay the night Having fun but it ain't alright Pre-Chorus But that's just our generation And I'd never change 'em I think we got some issues Chorus My generation's fucked We don't know how to love They say we drink too much But we're fine, fine, fine, fine My generation's fucked We don't know how to love but we're fine That's just our generation I think we need changing
