[Refrain: will.i.am] Did you watch the news today? Did you hear what they said? [Verse 1: will.i.am] One thousand more people passed away Aw, nah, somebody tell me what's going on New York, New York, big city of dreams There's a nightmare goin' down from the Bronx to Queens And everywhere in between We fighting somethin' we can't even see There's an invisible enemy Just knocked out Italy Keep the mask on 'cause if you cough they gon' look at you like you did a felony And they said we can't hug nobody Not until we find a remedy So we pray for Spain, France, and the U.K. China and U.S.A., I pray we gon' be okay Pray for the grandmas and grandpas So they can live to see another day [Refrain: will.i.am] Did you watch the news today? Did you hear what they said? [Verse 2: apl.de.ap] They say don't worry folks, it's all a hoax The news is fake and it's all a joke The death toll's rising with broken hopes Now they got the cure and a antidote Inject yourself with a bleach or soap And a checks in the mail 'cause they know we're broke [Refrain: will.i.am] Did you watch the news today? Did you hear what they said? [Verse 3: Taboo & will.i.am, Both] They said no one's alive to see the pope It's a ghost town coast to coast We're just people that's tryna cope From different sides with different strokes Livin' different lives from different tribes But everybody's in the same boat [Refrain: will.i.am] Did you hear the news today? [Verse 4: will.i.am] They say the world is one 'Cause we're all fighting a war But nobody pick up a gun We got nurses and doctors They fightin' in the front line, savin' lifes I'm waitin' in line, I'm frightened In the store, ah, that's the hero Behind the counter They makin' the world go round Riskin' new encounters They in the front line Dying for the minimum wage [Refrain: will.i.am] Did you watch the news today? Did you hear what they said?
