People Watching

Sitting on the front porch With a cold one in my hand People watching Watching A young couple on the corner Looking like forever And sweet talking Talking There's an old man with a cane I think Jethro is his name He's having a little trouble While he's street crossing But I'm not going nowhere I'm just sitting right here People watching Christina in her tight dress High heels on oh I guess She's going downtown Downtown The old men all aflutter Elbowing each other When she comes around Comes around Mmh mmh oh I think my beer is getting low Why does that seem to happen to me so often But I ain't going nowhere I'm just sitting right here People watching Everybody's got a story Everybody's got a song I could sit here forever While the parade keeps marching On and on and on All along People watching Everybody's got a story Everybody's got a song I could sit here forever While the parade keeps marching On and on and on All along People watching I said Wonder if there's someone watching me while I'm people watching It's better than anything that's on TV People watching
