My Love My Life (Feat. Steph Pockets)

I write rhyme to pass the time and let my mind unwind Staying focused on the goal never lagging behind Don't want the glamour or the glitz but we all want shine And for the money and the fame see us standing in line We all want just to get a little recognition Stepping up some we can be amongst the competition Reloading up treating words like they ammunition Growing up thinking back to all them things we missing I listen more because back then I didn't pay attention The industry be telling lies like a politician Learning lessons separate the fact from fiction Subtract the negative sort of like a mathematician Another mission making moves in and out of binds Making moves staying focused before we're out of time And even when it seem I'm slipping it's still on my mind At the bottom of the ladder so we gotta climb Give me 1 for the DJ give me 2 for the mic My love my life everything a be alright Everything a be alright Everything a be alright Give me 1 for tomorrow and 2 for tonight My love my life everything a be alright Everything a be alright Everything a be alright Big up to graffiti writers paint on wall inspires Thinking back to them trains I seen as a minor Thinking back to them days it seem way more brighter Thinking back to them nights when this would take us higher Admiring the writer DJ and the breaker too Block party hope the DJ play a break or two At the party dreaming all them things I wanna do Looking at my life all my dreams are coming true Looking at my life years later but I'm focused Giving strength to them ones that be feeling hopeless Giving strength to myself sometimes I feel the same I watch the rain water wash away the deepest pain Music is the blame hip hop call it by it's name Brought us together still together even as it change It's like my ball and chain maybe like a wedding ring To you I'm dedicated even went and changed my name Give me 1 for the DJ give me 2 for the mic My love my life everything a be alright Everything a be alright Everything a be alright Give me 1 for tomorrow and 2 for tonight My love my life everything a be alright Everything a be alright Everything a be alright When will it be my chance when will it be my turn I wanna touch the sky before I crash and burn I wanna live without regrets I wanna make it happen I wanna make them dance and nod I wanna keep them clapping And thru a song I wanna turn a cry into some laughing We laugh and giggle like we used to back when we was little The world is mine until I pass or till I lose my mind The world is mine and I ain't never gonna let it go Even though sometime it seem like it don't want me here I hold on to the memories and then they keep me here One with the kick and snare and plus the melody Murder the track now I'm guilty of a felony This is the better me they ain't get the best of me Working hard making moves changed my destiny Working hard having fun music's my heart Never turning back hip hop I loved you from the start Give me 1 for the DJ give me 2 for the mic My love my life everything a be alright Everything a be alright Everything a be alright Give me 1 for tomorrow and 2 for tonight My love my life everything a be alright Everything a be alright Everything a be alright Give me 1 for the DJ give me 2 for the mic My love my life everything a be alright Everything a be alright Everything a be alright Give me 1 for tomorrow and 2 for tonight My love my life everything a be alright Everything a be alright Everything a be alright
