Christmas in Monterey

I wake up oh it’s Christmas Day I light the open fire: a merry holiday Reindeer bells are ringing in my ear The snow is glistening I know Santa’s almost here Got a lot of hope - had a bit of wine I’ll play an Ella song, we’ll have a jolly time ‘Cause it’s okay - alright We’re gonna raise a glass together, we’re celebrating tonight Our great escape, our hideaway It’s so good to be back, out here in Monterey Our great escape, our hideaway It’s so good to be here, what a way to end the year Oh it’s okay - it’s alright Oh we’re alive and looking on the bright side of life It’s okay - it’s alright Oh alive and looking on the bright side of life! Precious moments in Monterey Feels like a melody I’ll always wanna play All my sorrows are out of sight As long as I got you to keep me warm at night Caress me sweetly, don’t let it fade away I need to shimmy and shake with you in Monterey Cuz it’s okay - alright We’re gonna raise a glass together, we’re celebrating tonight Our great escape, our hideaway It’s so good to be back, out here in Monterey Our great escape, our hideaway It’s so good to be here, what a way to end the year Oh it’s okay - it’s alright Oh we’re alive and looking on the bright side of life cuz it’s okay It’s okay - it’s alright Oh alive and looking on the bright side of life!
