Ash (With Natalie Green)

My heart is getting weary I feel like you’re not near me We’re falling like the rain on my window Can’t shake this heavy feeling My eyes are on the ceiling I feel like I’m about to witness our end My super hero in the light of the wake My sinking ship rose from the depths of the lake My mouth said “Babe, you know my heart can’t take this” I’ll meet you in the ashes of our burning love It’s been a week Waiting for Just a sign you keep your promises I’m hanging for more Your silence speaks Oh so loud You and I start to unravel like The strings on your sweater You and me tiptoe Over the tightrope Keeping our focus on the horizon One little slip and we’re falling Over again and it’s dawning Where are you going Thought you were staying Pause for a moment Sharp words are raining Look and you’ll see the walls crumble You told me you were different I’m losing hope in this I need you now I sent my heart to your home By express post Maybe it’s strange to you I’m complaining Fire is dying all I’m asking Talk to me Don’t know what you want Out here trying to meet your feelings Don’t ya even know me? (Don’t ya even know me?) Now I’m running each way you tell me One little fall I’m asking where you think it could go Tryna stay afloat here playing to this game I'm only half right Never gonna know it and I’m Sick of always guessing if you Truly want me there Light flames again and go Round in circles No doubt I'm in a nosedive, fallin’ Trapped and I know you got me Fast love so deep Say I'll be ok, but I'm not hopeful Been to my therapist Asked all these questions Without love oh, what are we And will the fire burn us I know I need to say it but I dunno how to do so Fire stopped burning I'll meet you in the ashes My heart is getting weary I feel like you’re not near me We’re falling like the rain on my window Can’t shake this heavy feeling My eyes are on the ceiling I feel like I’m about to witness our end My super hero in the light of the wake My sinking ship rose from the depths of the lake My mouth said “Babe, you know my heart can’t take this” I’ll meet you in the ashes of our burning love
