My Hidden World

Deep inside I have a secret place where lost and hidden dreams appear to me Memories wake in this enchanted space whispering of things once so dear to me Time is running slipping through my hands like grains of sand every single one a broken wish All my dreams of longing once so clear fade from bright to gray and disappear And my hidden world is a desert land where nothing grows upon the sand until a solitary flower takes my breath away She is small very small But oh she is beautiful Alive she thrives a universe unto herself And then I know hope was never gone for there is always more more day to dawn Now sometimes in my world of dreams I look out and suddenly it seems a hidden sea of flowers awaits the desert showers Then I realize that dreams really change with me And that sorrow and happiness are the seasons I bring So it seems to me and I'll always be so very happy for the dreams that see the spring
