La La La (Feat. Landon Wordswell)

La la la la la la la la la la la I was born without a father 80 20 chance to be a criminal or a scholar I straightened my blue collar for that all mighty dollar With that comes power plus all I devour My mom said I'd always have it harder than most Because being black from the projects that's how it goes She moved us to the burbs her vision was absurd But I watched her make it happen so I listened to her words Look, you can't and won't let it take you Life is what you make it, just don't let it make you Cause it's an ugly world out there Best friends turn to enemies for girls out there We still killing each other for them pearls out there Sometimes I can't wait until it all unfurls I swear Politicians killin us all and don't feel nothin' Same shit, different toilet and we still flushin' Can't run Can't Hide Doing my best just to try to get by Stress got me vexed so of course I get high like La la la la la la la la la la la Gotta soul search to search for your soul Only to find that the ones you love will hurt you the most Think about it Who else had you soaking in sorrow At a bar with a bottle and no hope for tomorrow I'm not cynical I'm realistic Telling your mind that it's over, but you still miss it Had the grip of a cobra on that meal ticket But now you're drunk off that Cobra and you still sip it Look, Picking up that bottle never learning your lesson The reminiscent thoughts now turn to obsessions The answers that you had They turn to the questions Reconfirming the stress and the anger turns to depression The danger's permanent yes and the flame is burning ya chest and The spark you had was a flash in the pan to learn for the next one Don't run you won't get far Just take it and embrace it because when that pain comes it's gon' hit hard Can't run Can't Hide Doing my best just to try to get by Stress got me vexed so of course I get high like La la la la la la la la la la la Can't run Can't Hide Doing my best just to try to get by Stress got me vexed so of course I get high like La la la la la la la la la la la Can't Run Can't Hide La la la la la la la la la la la Doing my best Just to try to get by La la la la la la la la la la la Can't Run Can't Hide La la la la la la la la la la la Doing my best Just to try to get by La la la la la la la la la la la Even if you survive At the end of the day you'll never make it out alive It's true I got my ancestors as proof Plus my Ma Dukes told me too when I was a youth Said to watch out of the haters, negaters, sadists, inflaters And greatest of all the fakers laying rhymes in the booth Believers that turned to faders invade us later for data to play us Close as tomatoes when assigned to the fruit Plus them chicken heads too That's why Im flying the coop Get a Clue There's no telling what Colonel Mustard'll do Catch Up and that condiment is for the Kind of men That claim to know it all and only knows what It kind of meant See, ego is a dangerous thing If deflated you gotta watch out for the pain that it brings Creating art is a rat race But if life's what you make then we're all artist in THAT way
