Wind

Thought I heard some voices call, but it was just the wind a-windin’ Thought I heard some footsteps fall but it was just the gravel grindin’ When I sit here all alone Let my weary mind roam And slowly close my eye I can make believe your mine Thought I heard my favorite song but it what just the chimes a-chimin’ Then I tried to sing along but the wind had stopped its windin’ Gotta try to convince myself I can really be someone else And my life will all workout And my blues won’t haunt me down Thought I saw my shadow leave me Then I found the sun deceive me As it passed right be on its way Though I know it’s not forever Nothing I can’t keep together But my words and those I’ll never say Thought I heard you say my name but it was just my mind a-wanderin’ Though I saw you walk my way but it was just that memory hauntin’
