The Last Thing That You Told Me

The last thing that you told me Everything is too foggy to recall I think it came with a small smile With two lips announcing a new world That world went upside down Swirled around So, I'm not sure I know The last thing you told me Before I fell in love I remember a small bar Black and white pictures hanging on the wall Then a laughter like summer And two eyes like the golden leaves in fall That laughter stayed around Drowned out the sounds So, I'm not sure I know The first thing you told me Before I fell in love But I remember that old train Walking with you in the rain Your umbrella flying away into the storm We were nearly fully drowned You told me with a little growl Come in here under my coat we’ll keep each other warm Yeah that's the last thing you told me Everything is clear now, yes I recall I think it came with our first kiss And then two seconds later I was in love
