Little Beast

Little Beast don't die I've held you at my side For nearly an hour Where queerly you've held power It's sweet you are and I've let you Take me by degrees So sweet you are that I've let you Stay and rip at me Little Beast I know That soon you'll have to go And save I will, as I grieve A place for my little beast Beatified as my muse As you turn me like a key I've tried my best not to use you But you are all I see I still don't know who you are Or how you got in And I may never know And I really don't need to know Because where I sit with my verse You are never very far And when I find all the words It's because of where you are Sacred Little Beast You've taken leave of me And I still can see you there Your eyes shimmering in the air It's black they are, Little Beast Piercing in and clutching still And I may long to be free But I've given up my will
