Guns, Gold & Guitars

Yeah old cooter jumped up from a bad dream On the dawn of the day of the dead And when a plan split his brain like a light beam Made a suit outta chicken bone heads And then he clucked and he crowed down to Main Street While the flock fell into his trance And as the news crew caught it for the TV The hens sang while the Chickenman danced They said the chickens are troubled The poop's aimed at the fan We're tired of livin' on bubbles We're sick of trickle-down plans We're tired of peckin' for a penny And no corn in the stew We're sick of bad for the many And bein' great for a few Life in the coop is gettin' real tough The tractor's runnin' but the wheel's stuck We're out here lookin' for the real stuff Yeah the chickens want guns, and gold, and guitars Yeah they really need guns, and gold, and guitars And so the Chickenman rooster in the courthouse Bad eggs went walkin' round armed But when yardbirds landed down at Fort Knox It tripped several federal alarms So the congressmen staggered into action Made a law for the troops to respond But all the seals whipped out telecasters And cut down on the Chickenman song They said the chickens are troubled The poop's aimed at the fan We're tired of livin' on bubbles We're sick of trickle-down plans We're tired of peckin' for a penny And no corn in the stew We're sick of bad for the many And bein' great for a few Life in the coop is gettin' real tough The tractor's runnin' but the wheel's stuck We're out here lookin' for the real stuff Yeah the chickens want guns, and gold, and guitars Yeah they really need guns, and gold, and guitars Yeah! Life in the coop is gettin' real tough The tractor's runnin' but the wheel's stuck We're out here lookin' for the real stuff Yeah the chickens want guns, and gold, and guitars Yeah they really need guns, and gold, and guitars Yeah they really need guns, and gold, and guitars Yeah they really need... Yeah they really need guns, and gold, and guitars Guns, and gold, and guitars Yeah they really need... Guns, and gold, and guitars
