As I Am

Street lights beating on its own pace GLOWIN’ through the opaque night Slow “intense night run” Taste of blood at the back of my throat Just let me love you as I am Don’t make me forget the rhythm of my heart Our breaths dancing slow My mama said “love starts with a metaphor” “Just let me love you as I am” “Just let me love you as I am” “Just let me love you as I am” “Just let me love you as I am” Like how leaves dancing with the rain drops Like when a snowflake sits on the tip of ur lashes Like how stars burst above the pines Like when theres butterfly’s in my heart One thing I can tell you is you got to be free when i talk about my past stories Uh, Could you laugh with me If we’re to joke around. What if I was a little more honest Running in this misty air Night run, Night run Night run Oooooo “Just let me love you as I am” “Slow dancing of our breath”
