Fake Smile

She's here at the bar and she's drinking alone Her friends in the car and they're ready to go Doesn't drink when she's happy and right now, she's down She's betting on karma to come back around [Pre-Chorus] She said my demons got demons And my tears, they got reasons And the bartender came to interrupt I started thinking as he filled up her cup [Chorus] I just met a girl with a fake smile Said she ain't been good in a great while Tryna get ahead, but shе keeps on stumbling Hard to live in a world that's crumbling I just met a girl with a fake smilе Said she got to laugh so she don't cry Tryna get ahead, but she keeps on stumbling Hard to live in a world that's crumbling, oh [Verse 2] It takes one to know one, it takes one to know It takes one to know one, I know how it goes I've been caught in the spiral and living a lie When every breath is like a twist of the knife [Pre-Chorus] She said my demons got demons And my tears, they got reasons And the bartender came to interrupt I started thinking as he filled up her cup [Chorus] I just met a girl with a fake smile Said she ain't been good in a great while Tryna get ahead, but she keeps on stumbling Hard to live in a world that's crumbling I just met a girl with a fake smile Said she got to laugh so she don't cry (Don't cry) Tryna get ahead, but she keeps on stumbling Hard to live in a world that's crumbling, oh [Outro] She said she needs someone to hold She said the world keeps getting colder I told her I know how it goes I told her I know how it goes It's getting late, I'm going home Started to leave and then I told her I know it's hard to be alone Hope it gets better down the road, yeah, yeah, yeah
