The Creed

I'm broken and battered I'm desperately searching For faith to make sense of the fall The questions keep coming I'm all out of answers It's like I can't breathe at all But I find what I've lost When I look to the cross For the truth, for the light guiding me I believe that God is my Father And Jesus Your Son Is living and breathing in me I believe Oh, Your Spirit is with us Giving hope and compassion This is the Creed, I will live it I will believe God hear the prayers Of someone who needs you Fill me with Your peace and grace Help me to cling to the rock of ages Every promise, every world I'll embrace You are my strength The stream in the desert You hold my life in Your arms Each day You bring a morning Full of your mercies, Your forgiveness Full of life, brand new I believe that God is my Father And Jesus Your Son Is living and breathing in me I believe Oh, Your Spirit is with us Giving hope and compassion This is the Creed, I will live it I will believe I believe That He died just to save us From the cross to the grave On the third day He rose And He's coming again I will live it 'til then This is the Creed This is the Creed, I will live it I will believe
