Progress

More or less I'm a little less stressed But a bit more self destructive Yeah, I don't know why I'll confess I'm thinking of a time Wish I could go back and own it Say that you were right You told me I was selfish I tried but couldn't help it I know I said I'm only human I'm tired of making excuses, yeah Now I want the best for you I'm sorry that I tested you I know it wasn't fair Back then I didn't care I wanna make it up to you I think that's progress I think that's progress More or less I don't wanna invest In a life where I get nothing End up alone I'm a mess, I don't wanna lie Wish I coulda just been honest When I said goodbye You told me I was selfish I tried but couldn't help it I know I said I'm only human I'm tired of making excuses, yeah Now I want the best for you I'm sorry that I tested you I know it wasn't fair Back then I didn't care I wanna make it up to you I think that's progress I think that's progress I used to think I've been around the block I used to be a lot of things I'm not And when I blink, your words are all I got Like yesterday, no way that I forgot You told me I was selfish I tried but couldn't help it Now I want the best for you I'm sorry that I tested you I know it wasn't fair Back then I didn't care I wanna make it up to you I think that's progress I think that's progress
