Northside, 1995

(Tell all my friends) Summer to fall, 1995 (I’ve gone to sleep) Colored rays flash across the window as you pass by (Saturdays spent) A reflection of us You, me on our silver lining dreams You disappeared leaving an unfinished puzzle, a frozen stream What is it you’re looking for? What does it all mean? Conscious, unconscious, stepping in from one door to the next I’d go back ‘cause you were my best friend It’s like you’re still standing there Still waiting for the same bus that never comes Still wondering who we are, where’s your love But look we’ve come so far now Someday, somehow things will change for you and me
