My Own Hero

My mother told me never go out alone She always warned me never stray far from home Be safe and not sorry But I really want to be somebody My father told me you've got to be 10 feet tall You've gotta climb these castle walls And don't be scared of your own shadow no It's gonna follow you wherever you go I've got to be bold I've got to be brave I'm getting stronger now And I don't need to be saved cause I'm gonna be my own hero I'm gonna make it on my own And with my hands of stone I'll be my own hero I'm gonna be my own hero I'm gonna make it on my own And with my hands of stone I'll be my own hero... My brother told me I know you're strong enough You've gotta swim sometimes the water is rough It's hard to take a step when your feet are stuck So when they knock you down you just keep getting up I've got to be bold I've got to be brave I'm getting stronger now And I don't need to be saved I'm gonna be my own hero I'm gonna make it on my own And with my hands of stone I'll be my own hero I'm gonna be my own hero I'm gonna make it on my own And with my hands of stone I'll be my own hero I've got to be bold I've got to be brave I'm getting stronger now And I don't need to be saved, no I'm gonna be my own hero I'm gonna make it on my own And with my hands of stone... I'm gonna be my own hero I'm gonna make it on my own And with my hands of stone I'll be my own hero I'm gonna be my own hero I'm gonna make it on my own And with my hands of stone I'll be my own hero...
