Sunsets (feat. Knightly)

I put my bed in a new room, underneath a wall I see a moon, there's a view I don't recognize at all 'Cause I've messed around I've messed around, I've messed around Yeah, faster than a fall And I've run around I've run around, I've run around Yeah, hiding from it all Chorus But behind these backyards and sunsets I still find my old cigarettes Behind these buildings and motels There's things I'm still Trying to forget Verse 2 No matter where I go, left or right, left or right Baby, back down below Down the road, down a slide Back when then, now and then Imma cry, imma cry I know I'll be alright Be alright Chorus But behind these backyards and sunsets I still find my old cigarettes Behind these buildings and motels There's things I'm still Trying to forget Verse 3 I got away, got away from you Or was it me I guess that makes it two This time I've changed At least I think it's true But when I'm here, I'm still stuck inside a loop So if I cool down and meditate Will it be cool now, and disintegrate 'Cause I got away, got away from But when I'm here Chorus But behind these backyards and sunsets I still find my old cigarettes Behind these buildings and motels There's things I'm still Trying to forget Verse 4 No matter where I go, where I hide Down below, in the sky My demons showing up every night No matter where I go, where I hide Chorus But behind these backyards and sunsets I still find my old cigarettes Behind these buildings and motels There's things I'm still Trying to forget Outro And I've been a fool But I know I'm just trying to do my best 'Cause I'm healing, too Get me through Gotta get me through the test
