First Date

I've got a new dress on I'm taking my time choosing What shoes to wear Got butterflies in my stomach As I walk into the bar And see you sitting there It only takes one drink For me to make my mind up Now I'm looking around the room For my escape Because you brag so much And you're rude to our waiter I wish that he could take your place It's funny how so fast Our first date turns into our last And time has never felt so slow I guess I missed the signs When you asked me out that night I was curious at first But now I know You say you checked out my MySpace And the first song was annoying But it grew on you That's good, when I first met you I thought that you were charming But you just changed my view It's funny how so fast Our first date turns into our last And time has never felt so slow I guess I missed the signs When you asked me out that night I was curious at first But now I know Now you're walking me home And I'm letting you down gently You say "Hey! Put this in a song" And then you kiss me So this one's for you You arrogant fool It's funny how so fast Our first date turns into our last And time has never felt so slow I guess I missed the signs When you asked me out that night I was curious at first But now I know the kind of guy you are And I would never say "Yes" To a second date with you Good Night
