My Heart and the Ocean

Onwards There is a storm so deep within my heart Still raging and untamed, yet focused and upright Raised by visions of the future Now fueled by fury and hope I carry the torch, just unerasable Where winds rule mighty waves and lands so rough and cold Know, all your scorn is just like salt on my lips A thirst for freedom, hungry for change Eager for justness Yes, I am at home where no one ever settled down And I call family the ones that took a stand with me I carry the torch, just unerasable Where winds rule mighty waves and lands so rough and cold Know, all your scorn is just like salt on my lips A thirst for freedom, hungry for change Eager for justness Committed to redemption Opposing hidden felonies As truth was slain so ruthlessly And all you once believed will fall into contempt I know that all my sacrifices will make all the difference I faced moments of reflection, but never times of doubt Enduring nights of contemplation But never days of indecision These criminals will hear our battle call Eager for justness Committed to redemption Revealing silent tragedies I carry the word, just unmistakable Where lies spark bitter hate, in days so grey and old Know, all your scorn is just like salt on my lips A thirst for freedom, hungry for change I carry the deed, just irresistible Where fools rule mighty states and men so blind and dull Know, all your scorn is just the salt on my lips A thirst for freedom, hungry for change
