Kudos (Feat. Sam Ock)

I look towards a poor thing the applause I'm a god and a fraud omgoodness I'm a flawed Human being tryna flee from the grips of this claw Taking sips of destruction through the walls of this straw Oh no ain't nobody care about your gifts, bruh You'll be rapping all you want, do your hip hop Seeing dollar signs fall every tick tock Aimed at the altar both wrists going criss crossed Oh no, it's a baffling phenomenon Sitting in the awning of delight of Father God Never bothering to see Him eyes are on my box Shake my fist at the heavens with my haughty talk Uh so it's back to the basics Settle down settle down bring a mason Jar to the riverside and sit a while Enjoy all this time together, it's been a while When the kudos piles up high, you know what to do Don't put a hand on the grain, it's not for you no, no Cause they can praise you to the sky and up above What do you love what do you love it's not for you What do they say well, it don't matter What do they say pay 'em no mind What are they sayin' think about the mission What are they sayin' give 'em no time Yea, maybe words do feel good And a nice thought makes you feel understood Don't forget though, there is much more Look past the praise to the sky, soar Gotta keep movin' stay focused, man Gotta keep movin' don't you understand Don't stay idle comfort is the enemy Don't stay idle keep movin' 'til the end Cause maybe words cause temporary joy And bad vibes may break and destroy But we're livin' here for so much more Glory everlasting, to the light soar
