You Matter to Me

I waited up for your call But the phone don't ring no more Tell me, love, where you been? I've climbed the walls Probably more times than I've done before Can't erase everything [Pre-Chorus] Maybe I was chasing something that wasn't there And I know I left you waiting but I swear I always cared [Chorus] 'Cause you matter, you matter to me I will treasure every memory I keep And I hate the man that I've become I'm praying you can see That you matter, it matters to me [Verse 2] Left you alone in the cold When you needed me the most Broken hearts needed mending I always thought you'd come back I guess karma slipped through the cracks Now it's flowers that I'm sending [Pre-Chorus] Maybe I was chasing something that wasn't there And I know I left you waiting but I swear I always cared [Chorus] 'Cause you matter, you matter to me I will treasure every memory I keep And I hate the man that I've become I'm praying you can see That you matter, it matters to me [Bridge] And it's likely that you moved on And I'm not gonna stand in your way All that I wanted to say is [Chorus] You matter, you matter to me I will treasure every memory I keep And I hate the man that I've become I'm praying you can see That you matter, that you matters to me
