Be Kind

My soul was torn apart Broken down and naked Nothing that I tried would ever do So I called a couple friends But they can't seem to make it No one that I need is coming through And I feel it when you treat me like you do So be kind as much as you can And won't you try, try to understand Cause you don't know what we've been through You'd want some kindness if it happened to you So be kind So be kind So be kind Sometimes you gotta work And there's no time for playing Endless are the things you gotta do You give until it hurts And everybody's taking Seems unfair, and that's because it's true But still it makes it better when you do So be kind as much as you can And won't you try, try to understand Cause you don't know what we've been through You'd want some kindness if it happened to you So be kind whoever you are And I don't mind if you think you're a star Just please don't go cause you never know What you'll find That in the end you need a friend So please won't you be kind So be kind All the changes are changing my mind All the anger I'm leaving behind Then I find So be kind as much as you can And won't you try, try to understand Cause you don't know what we've been through You'd want some kindness if it happened to you So be kind whoever you are And I don't mind if you think you're a star Just please don't go cause you never know What you'll find That in the end you need a friend So please won't you be kind So be kind
