Just Want to Know If You're Alright

I just want to know that you're alright You're no longer coming through Can you please send me a sign I live alone and very quiet I want nothing more of you But just to know that you're alright I will not implore you But I will worry for you You always bore a shade of gloom Your fragile confidence Kinetic hauntedness Rising in my senses with a heady bloom To me you will never belong I'm a universe away And I am purging you with song When the signal was still strong Sorrow never held me sway But now it's very nearly gone I can't keep clawing at you I can't keep gnawing at you Seeding misery and blight You hang around like myrrh But for what it's worth How I long to see you walking in the light I'm appealing to the sages Clawing at these desperate pages Just want to know if you're okay I am never making contact But you were on my mind today Can I let go of your face I will put it to the test And lock the photographs away All you sunlit children I leave you to Heaven It's okay that you're not mine I can live with lack There's no going back And you know me and you know that I will be alright I'm appealing to the sages Clawing at these desperate pages
