Carefree (feat. LeyeT)

Wake up my darlin girl you’re late for school Those were the old days and these are the new When I get myself outta bed And I silence voices in my head When I drink coffee then my stomach hurts God knows I need it so don’t know what’s worse Then I get on the interstate And the traffic’s bad and I’m late I know that I’m being strange Carve my apples with a blade Call me now I’m ignoring it I don’t wanna conversate I just wanna turn on music and sit here I’m riding with the top down Pretending nobody’s around I wish I was carefree Like you see in the movies My friends don’t understand I’m not happy I’m not sad I’m just coasting on a wave Trying not to go insane but I wish I was carefree Like you see in the movies So how do I get myself out of this state No one can fix it it’s all on my plate Tell me now what I wanna hear Except I won’t hear it clear Everything’s broken it feels like my fault I shoulda done this and I shoulda done all But I can’t go back and erase So I just stare up into space I know that I’m being strange Carve my apples with a blade Call me now I’m ignoring it I don’t wanna conversate I just wanna turn on music and sit here I’m riding with the top down Pretending nobody’s around I wish I was carefree Like you see in the movies My friends don’t understand I’m not happy I’m not sad I’m just coasting on a wave Trying not to go insane but I wish I was carefree Like you see in the movies
