Better Than Average

As a little girl I had dreamed Of the kind of man that I would love He would be trustworthy a little bit of dashing And just the right amount of boy He would never turn his eyes away From the one he'd never want to loose Cuz when a man loves a woman He becomes a wall that's impossible to climb But who knew there was a door a tiny little door And she wouldn't have the keys Cuz he's hiding them away But thanks to boys like you I mean fuck the boys like you Cuz you crushed my dreams like Goliath And you stabbed my back just to try it Well you'll never get the chance to prove that you're faithful I won't have an average man I guess I really should be thanking you Cuz I never really would have known That the average man is so unworthy I deserve better than average Let me set this thing straight I ain't saying I didn't play a part But I've never been unfaithful You stained me with the color of tainted love Now love will never be the same The perfect man just fucking ain't perfect no more Step into reality I've seen too much I've felt too much But faith will still be waiting for me Because she's so much stronger than I you see But boys like you will never understand ever I mean never But who knew there was a door a tiny little door And she wouldn't have the keys Cuz he's hiding them away But thanks to boys like you I mean fuck the boys like you Cuz you crushed my dreams like Goliath And you stabbed my back just to try it Well you'll never get the chance to prove that you're faithful I won't have an average man I guess I really should be thanking you Cuz I never really would have known That the average man is so unworthy I deserve better than average I could give up on love But I've been in love before But this is different You're just different And I won't let you take me down Cuz you crushed my dreams like Goliath And you stabbed my back just to try it Well you'll never get the chance to prove that you're faithful I won't have an average man I guess I really should be thanking you Cuz I never really would have known That the average man is so unworthy I deserve better than average I deserve better than average I deserve better than you
