The Moondog

I saw the future and I see it all around Cause the past is the present and the future is now I saw a star and it took me through the clouds Where the sound is the color and color is the sound But I never thought I'd be missing you I just want you to be free and true Tired of all the things that we used to do I just want you to be free and true Find the star in the North East sky That you can't stop watching and you don't know why Close your eyes just let it all go And the next thing you know you'll be on this shore And I never thought I'd be here with you Now just do whatever it is you want to Whatever happens to me or you Look up to our star and drift away Whatever happens to me or you You can look up to the blue and drift away And I never thought I'd be here with you Now just do whatever it is you want to See our star it burns so free and true Now just do whatever it is you want to And now we have to name our star Before we're drifting worlds apart Now go go go You're on your own Passed on to the land of the distant star What he'd do to be alive and to hold her hand Remembering the look in her eye lying heart To heart in the sand In love on the beach of our star Whatever happens to me or you Look up to our star and drift away Whatever happens to me or you You can look up to the blue and drift away Whatever happens to me or you Look up to our star and drift away Whatever happens to me or you You can look up to the blue and drift away Whatever happens to me or you Look up to our star and drift away Whatever happens to me or you You can look up to the blue and drift away Whatever happens to me or you Look up to our star and drift away Whatever happens to me or you You can look up to the blue and drift away
