Push Me Away

The twists and turns that brought us here Will mend our swollen hearts Pull the stitches from our skin The scars show who we are Black as cold as the undertow Weighs down our heavy heads This lonely road that leads to home Might bring us to our death Push me away Hide me in the closet If you're afraid of who I am Who are you to push me away Hide me in the closet If you're afraid of who I am Who are you to push me away Rusted blades disintegrate The words that matter most You always swallow bitter pills From the ones you hold so close Push me away Hide me in the closet If you're afraid of who I am Who are you to push me away Hide me in the closet If you're afraid of who I am Who are you to push me away For all of those that hate this Hate this if you will I can't do much to change you But this is how I feel Tomorrow comes sunrise I'll still be who I am And you'll just be in danger Cause you'll never understand Push me away Hide me in the closet If you're afraid of who I am Who are you to push me away Hide me in the closet If you're afraid of who I am Who are you to push me away Push me away Push me away Push me away
