It Keeps Slipping My Mind

I keep intending to tell you I been lonely much too long And some morning you will wake up and find the note that says I'm gone I've tried so long to say I'm moving to greener pastures down the line I keep intending to tell you but it keeps slipping my mind I've got it on my lips to warn you I've been lonely my last time And when you wake up in the morning you'll find me gone and lose your mind I'd like to say that I'll be moving I would have, thinking of the words I'll say If I could keep old memories from always headin' in my way I've come so very close to saying my lovin' is a waste of time I keep intending to tell you but it keeps slipping my mind
